60th Birthday Party

This weekend we celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday. We knew we had to throw him a party with all our family but unfortunately we are currently having the downstairs re tiled and redecorated (thanks to a leaky pipe in the floor!) However, we made the best of what we had and it actually turned out looking really good and we all had a great time.

Al the hanging decorations came in a pack (which I bought three of). They were from Meri Meri, I got mine from Selfridges in London. The "Happy Birthday" banner was also from Selfridges. I got the "60" balloons from a local card shop in my hometown. The 60 on the other wall is made up of photos of my dad with family and friends. I printed out smaller copies of the pictures, cut out a 60 from card and stuck the pictures to it. I used bullock all over to stick it to the wall.

The workmen had to move the island/sink from our kitchen into the party room so to make it look nicer we put a fake grass carpet on top of it.

We wanted to block off access into the lounge so my mum and I found this garden fencing in B&M and I bought fresh flowers to attach to it with garden wire.

I've had these balloons for a while; they're from Meri Meri again and come as a kit. It was fairly easy to get the confetti inside the balloons but the bow stickers were a bit more difficult to put on just because it was hard to line them up properly. I like the look of them though so it as worth it.
