Whimsical Alice in Wonderland Event
One of the earliest events I created when I first stared event planning was Alice in Wonderland. At the time I was working in Edinburgh, which has many fantastic venues.
The venue I found for the Alice event was called the Assembly Rooms. The ballroom we were in was stunning and fitted the theme perfectly. There were gold chandeliers and huge ornate mirrors (fits great for Through the Looking Glass).
We had tables set out with Alice blue table cloths, wine was served from tea pots into tea cups, and the food (by Heritage Portfolio) was designed around a tea party.
Each table had a name that was featured on the centre piece (which I bought from WonderParties on etsy.co.uk). I hand made photo props for each table so people could selfies and as part of entertainment (during the work presentation that was given) we had a game of flamingo croquet between staff and management. We kept it a secret but the balls with which they were using for croquet were Spheros. A member from the events team was sat in the audiencecontrolling the Shpero so each time it was managements turn we'd send the ball flying off before they could even hit it.
Here are some pictures from the event and I'll link all above mentioned below.
